Camp Barnyard Update: A Call for Hope and Support

With a heavy heart, I must share that Camp Barnyard faces an uncertain future for the 2025 season. Due to challenges with my co-owner in the farm’s real estate, our beloved summer camp is experiencing a delayed opening and may not open at all this season. This has been an incredibly difficult time, but I remain determined to fight for the camp and the community it has brought together over the years.

Camp Barnyard has always been more than just a summer camp—it’s a place where children laugh, grow, and connect with nature, animals, and each other. Our mission to provide a rich farm experience full of adventure, creativity, and lasting friendships remains at the heart of everything we do.

I am working tirelessly along with camp families and our community to save this incredible program and all the joy it brings to so many. Please stay tuned for updates, and know that your continued support means the world to us.

Whether through kind words, sharing our story, or spreading the word about our mission, you can make a difference. Together, we can strive to preserve the magic of Camp Barnyard and ensure its legacy continues for seasons to come.

With your support, I hold onto hope that brighter days are ahead for the camp, the farm, and the children who love it.  If you go to the main page of this website you will see our gofund me page: $1.00 can make a difference.  If you prefer to make a donation through venmo @alpacalove. Sharlene Bund is my name. In the note say  " save campbarnyard."  Or write a google review stating you wish Camp Barnyard will see season 5.  The more voices ,the more support, the better our chances of keeping a good thing going.  My belief is we only have time to do good things and seeing the positive effect this summer camp has on children, it  is is worth saving.

Thank you for standing by us during this upheaval.

*Our Mission is to provide a rich farm FUN experience for campers to adventure, explore, create, and build longlasting friendships.*

Necessary Considerations

• Campers must must pack a lunch, snack, and waterbottle.

• Regarding peanuts and tree-nuts, we are not a nut free camp. However, we are a nut aware camp that will take special precautions for children with nut allergies.

• This camp is technology free. Counselors will not be using phones either! Counselors will be taking photos of campers each day and providing access to these photos at the end of each week.

• All children will need to pass a swim evaluation to swim in the pool.  If you do not want your child in the pool or they do not want to go in the pool they will have other options which we can discuss on the first day of camp and throught out the week (if  need be).
