Camp Barnyard Will Not Operate Summer 2025
A Note from the Heart
This is the hardest message I’ve ever written. After pouring my heart into Sugars Bridge Farm and Camp Barnyard, I must share that I am letting go of my 50% ownership and stepping away.
This land has held so much love, laughter, and learning. I will forever cherish the joy of children reaching out to alpacas and ducks, the laughter of summer days, and the kindness of the counselors who helped bring magic to life.
Though the decision was not mine, and financial power played a heavy hand, I leave with my heart full. We take no money with us in the end—only love, growth, and memories.
To every parent, camper, friend, and supporter: thank you. You made this more than a farm. You made it a community.
While Camp Barnyard will pause this summer, I hold hope for a return in 2026. For now, I’m taking time to find a new home where my animals and I can begin the next chapter.
My mantra remains:
For the Children. For Small Farms. For All Farm Animals.
Please, in honor of all we built, do something kind today—a simple hello, a coffee for a stranger, a hand to someone in need. The spirit of Camp Barnyard lives on in these small, beautiful acts.
With love and endless gratitude,
Sharlene
